Today students were given the copybook they will be using later on. They were also given some worksheets which would help them practise the sound S. Today we started with the S sound. Students got pictures of words that start with the letter s, which are to be stuck at the end of the S worksheets pack. Students practised writing the letter s. they watched the clip related to S sound of the Starfall Scheme and listened to the Jolly phonic song as well. Dear Parents and Guardians, Your loved ones will be having me as their teacher of English. They will be following a core competence course which will eventually help them start or improve their reading and writing. I am fully prepared for the scholastic year ahead. However, all I need is your help at the other end so that, together with the input of the LSAs we reach our goal. What's going to happen first: I would be assessing the kids individually in reading, writing and speaking. Once the skills are assessed we start our lessons. We will also be following the Jolly Phonics programme which will be also reinforced with readers from Julia Donaldson's Songbirds and Oxford Reading Tree.
